STIAA Grows Bigger

01/25/2011

Founded on August 11 1999, STI Alumni Association Inc. (STIAA) is a non-stock, non-profit organization that seeks to connect, inform, and serve graduates of STI schools nationwide. Through this extensive network, the organization aims to foster a strong community of STI alumni driven by growth, excellence and unceasing social consciousness, and involvement.

STI campuses nationwide are encouraged to support the STIAA in order to ensure the organization's sustainability. Due to the large number of STI graduates which amount to an average of 9,000 students every year, STIAA local chapters were formed to foster active and more personal relations with every alumnus. The Alumni & Placement Adviser (APA), together with the Deputy/School Administrator (D/SA), spearheads the creation of STIAA local chapters. All aspiring local chapters must follow a certain qualification for them to be granted recognition by STIAA.

Currently, there are 22 STIAA local chapters nationwide. Recognized on May 25, 2006, STI College — Sta. Maria holds the record as the first ever STIAA local chapter whereas the most recent is STI College — Global City, which was recognized on September 18, 2010. Other chapters include STI College — Calamba, STI College — Davao, STI College — Puerto Princesa, STI Calbayog, STI College — Ormoc, STI College — Tacloban, STI Tagaytay, STI College — Muñoz-EDSA, STI College — Caloocan, STI College — Balayan, STI College — Novaliches, STI College — Meycauayan, STI Pasay, STI College — Fairview, STI College — Baguio, STI College — Recto, STI College — Quezon Avenue, STI College — Lucena, STI College — Sta.
