STI Salutes its Alumni

STI recognized five of its most accomplished alumni during the Achievers’ Night of the STI Leaders’ Convention held at Boracay Regency last April 30, 2015.

Spearheaded by the STI Alumni Association, the STI Distinguished Alumni Awards recognizes alumni who exemplifies the true nature of their alma mater, outstanding professional achievements, and contributions to the community. The following are the honored alumni who stand as testaments to STI’s commitment as an institution.

Awardee 1: The Caregiver

A dedicated caregiver - whose fierce determination, sense of purpose, and passion in every endeavor enabled him to see his dreams to fruition. 

After he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, he migrated to the US in 2010. Despite considerable challenges of adapting to a foreign country, he persevered — driven by his dedication to higher learning as a laboratory and clinical instructor at different nursing facilities and institutes in Nevada.

Currently, the Assistant Director of Nursing of a 5-star nursing facility, rated by the State and Federal as one of the highest provider of quality care in the US. And, the Founder and CEO of St. Therese Learning Institute, a nursing assistant training school in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Caregiver. A graduate of STI College Global City, Mr. Edward Czar V. Aquino.

 

Awardee 2: The Entrepreneur

He contributed in the establishment of STI Training Centers in Hong Kong and Rome, responsible for the acquisition of necessary hardware and software, and courseware development.

His persistence earned him various achievements in the realm of technology. He worked with Oracle products in Asia, Australia, and Europe for over sixteen years, specializing in Project Management, Financials and Project Accounting. He continues to impart his knowledge as a resource speaker at the National Export Congress and Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Today, he is the President and CEO of Fountainhead Technologies– hailed Best Small and Medium Enterprise of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council Awards 2014 and represented the Philippines in the ASEAN Business & Investment Summit 2014 in Myanmar to compete for Best SME.

An innovative businessman. A graduate of STI College Recto, Mr. Jose Agostinho T. Salvador.

 

Awardee 3: The Scholar

A Gift of Knowledge scholar, a gift which enabled him to fulfill his dreams.

n the vastness of the IT industry, his forte is in robotics. As one of the most sought after robotics trainer, he is affiliated with various societies and has been invited by various companies as a resource speaker.

His dedication as an academician, experience as a robotics trainer, and never ending quest to share his experience with the youth, empowered his team to participate in various international competitions. Hailed as the Grand Champion in the last 13th Philippine Robotics Olympiad and was the Official Philippine Team to the World Robot Olympiad 2014 in Russia.

The Gift of Knowledge scholar. A graduate of STI College Angeles, Mr. Michael John D. Cunanan.

 

Awardee 4: The Trainee

He started his career as an On-the-Job trainee in Tupperware Dart Philippines. His passion for continuous learning and hunger for knowledge are demonstrated by the numerous trainings attended here and abroad. He went up the corporate ladder armed with his knowledge in IT and a positive disposition in life.

An IT Network Administrator, he supervises a team of technical support experts. Directly collaborating with Regional and Global Head Quarters for IT related projects and operational activities.

As a community servant, he has generously shared his knowledge with young people through programs focused on the youth. He has dedicated significant personal time for charitable activities in his community.

The Trainee. A graduate of STI College Calamba, Mr. Felix F. Emradura.

 

Awardee 5: The Visionary

As a visionary, she knew what she was destined to do; excel in school, be successful, and help her family. Her eminent career is evidenced through numerous citations and awards from various world-class organizations, swiftly rising through the ranks while working in a multi-cultural environment.

On her first year as a Senior Software Engineer, she was nominated by her colleagues as a Bravo Awardee and later on spearheaded technical trainings for Indonesian Designers and Regional US Departmental Heads, and conducted a training for Product Mangers in France.

Today, an IT Software Development Manager at Oberthur Technologies, she carries the task of managing the company's Intranet system.

The Visionary woman. A graduate of STI College Sta. Cruz, Ms. Janice G. Lagundi.
